Poker Night 2 includes PS3, Steam and Xbox 360 unlocks. 'Once you've gotten in the habit of maintaining the true 'voice' for a licensed character (the hard part), it's not that hard to get them. My idea for Poker Night 3 is a multiplayer part. You can play against 4 humans, if only two humans than the other players AI. Every human could choose a character that was included in Poker Night at the Inventory and Poker Night 2. The character get marked as human in the begin, over his head is.

- Executive Meddling: The game was originally due out April 23 on PC, but demands from Microsoft that the Xbox 360 version be given top priority in terms of release pushed the PC version to the 26th.
- Fandom Nod: There were a few that mistook Sal's voice actor for Patrick Warburton due to just how much they sounded alike. This game has Sam noting Brock's voice sounds somewhat like Sal's.
- He Also Did:
- Jared Emerson-Johnson, the composer, is also the voice actor for the Marquis De Singe in Tales of Monkey Island, and the composer for the Telltale-era Sam & Max: Freelance Police games as well as Telltale's The Walking Dead.
- Danny Webber, the composer for Workaholics, does Ash Williams. He also played Steve in Birdemic Shock And Terror. Really.

- Keep Circulating the Tapes: Was pulled from sale on September 2018 after licenses to the respective properties have expired, shortly before Telltale itself disbanded. Those who purchased the game beforehand can still access it.
- The Other Darrin:
- Lampshaded by Claptrap who asks Sam and Max what happened to their voices since Hit the Road and Sam & Max: Freelance Police (directly referencing the former's tone). Sam claims he started seeing a speech coach and Max just never stopped using a Jason Alexander impression and his voice slowly changed as a result.
- Ash is not Bruce Campbell here for unknown reasons, and voiced by Danny Webber of Birdemic fame.
- William Kasten, voice of Max, is replaced by David Boat, also known as the shopkeeper in the Video Game Remake of Monkey Island 2: LeChuck's Revenge and Lexaeus in the Kingdom Hearts series.
- What Could Have Been:
- At one point in development, there was a Walking Dead themed Inventory that would be available for purchase. It'd be similar to the Everett family drugstore, boarded up from the inside, but the area would be filled with zombies. Unfortunately, no Walking Dead main characters or bounty items were planned; only the Walking Dead inventory for the sake of referencing Telltale's more popular series at the time. Judging from cut dialogue, the 'first eliminated' punishment would've thrown the unfortunate loser to the walkers (of course, all of our competitors are prepared for such a thing...well, except Claptrap, but who cares about him?). This got cut for time, and the only real evidence that remains of it are the rarely-played-but-still-existent jazz remixes of Clementine's Theme and the theme inside the school from Episode 4. These tracks are found in the game's files, as well as dialogue and sound effects that most likely would've been used for this layout.
- Speaking of The Walking Dead, Lee and Larry were considered as players for the game at one point, but were cut because characters from a very sad game especially considering both die would seem weird to fans who watch them partake in an upbeat poker game.
- The Medic of Team Fortress 2 character was considered, but GLaDOS was chosen because another Team Fortress 2 character would be repetitive—plus, she has much more personality than the original dealer/host, Reginald Van Winslow.
- Marty and Doc Brown were also considered at one point, but since there's a lot more mature characters in the game (Brock, Claptrap), the cursing would sort of affect the family-friendly value of Back To The Future.
- Reportedly, Bruce Campbell was asked why he didn't voice Ash's lines in the game. His reply was simply that he didn't even know about the game. For whatever reason, Telltale either didn't ask, or were unable to get in touch with him.
- A cut conversation implies that Girl Stinky was originally supposed to be the bartender instead of Moxxi, perhaps to round out Skun-ka'pe as the chauffeur.

Poker Night 2 is a pokervideo game developed by Telltale Games.[1] It is the sequel to Poker Night at the Inventory and, like its predecessor, features crossover characters from different franchises. The game was released for Steam, PlayStation Network and Xbox Live Arcade in April 2013, with an iOS version released the following month.[2][3][4] Due to expiring licenses, the game was pulled from sale in September 2018.[5]

Gameplay[edit]
Like the original game, Poker Night 2 is a computer-based poker simulation between an unseen participant (the player) and four characters. Each player starts with the same amount of virtual money, and competes in standard poker rules to try to eliminate all the other players by exhausting their money. In addition to Texas hold 'em style of play, Poker Night 2 includes Omaha hold 'em as well.
The four additional characters in addition to the player are Sam from the Sam & Max franchise (voiced by David Nowlin), who is assisted by Max (voiced by David Boat), Brock Samson from The Venture Bros. (voiced by Patrick Warburton), Ash Williams from The Evil Dead franchise (voiced by Danny Webber), and Claptrap from the Borderlands series (voiced by David Eddings). GLaDOS (voiced by Ellen McLain) from the Portal series takes a supporting role as the dealer. During the hands, these characters provide humorous chatter between each other and towards the player. Reginald Van Winslow (voiced by Roger L. Jackson) from Tales of Monkey Island reprises his role as the host.[1][6][7] Additional brief cameos include Steve the Bandit and Mad Moxxi from Borderlands, Doug and a Save-Lot Bandit from The Walking Dead, and a waiter from Gravity Bone.
The game features unlockable in-game card, chip and table designs, as well as 'Bounty Unlocks' for completing certain goals, which unlock Borderlands 2 content and, depending on the platform played, Team Fortress 2 items on Steam, Xbox Avatar items, or PlayStation 3 themes.[6][8] Simultaneously using chips, cards, and tables sharing the same theme alters the design of the Inventory, opening up new conversation possibilities. Players can also buy the other characters drinks in order to more easily expose their tells.

The first Poker Night game was developed by Telltale during a lull in their release schedule, and proved to be successful; Steve Allison, vice president of publishing at Telltale, believed it was the relationship between Telltale and the Valve that contributed to the success of the game, luring players with Team Fortress 2 items for performing well in the game.[9] As completion of The Walking Dead neared, Telltale found themselves in another lull, and returned to the Poker Night concept as a way to fill the gap.[9]
Poker Night 2 Cast
Character selection was more direct than the first game, with Telltale wanting to bring in characters from movies and television. Allison had a good relationship with MGM Studios who were eager to offer characters, and was able to secure the character of Ash from Evil Dead, which also was timed well against the release of the 2013 remake.[9] Similarly, Allison stated that Cartoon Network readily agreed to the inclusion of Brock from Venture Bros., one of the Telltale team's first selections.[9]Gearbox Software, the creators of Borderlands, appreciated the first game, and allowed the Claptrap character to be used.[9] The final spot at the table was to be left open for a character from a Telltale game, eventually resulting in Sam. They had considered using either Marty or Doc Brown from the Back to the Future game but realized that they would not be appropriate in a game with mature spoken content. Similarly, characters from The Walking Dead series would not be a thematic fit for the poker title, as it would make people emotional about the game.[9] To help make the play more personable, they needed to have a dealer for the table, and GLaDOS was considered an obvious fit.[9]

Telltale started a website called The Key Party in 2013 in order to promote the game, with a new keychain related to the game characters revealed every working day from March 25 until April 1, when the game was officially revealed.[1]
